I’m Randy Farrar, proud owner of Randy Farrar Inspection Services, LLC.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I started Randy Farrar Inspection Services, LLC. as a companion company that could use my skills and knowledge as a homebuilder.

I received my license in 2004, and I’ve been inspecting homes ever since. However, before home inspection, for thirty years, I provided skilled home building services. It wasn’t until two years ago I withdrew from homebuilding to be a fulltime home inspector, which I have realized is my true passion.

Over the past couple of years, I have noticed that there is a greater emphasis on digital photos. When I first started out, none of the inspectors took pictures of the issues they discovered. Since the start of my inspection business, I have worn out three cameras and just acquired my fourth.

Every inspection job that I do I see as a challenge where people depend on me to inform them of all the defects of the house. After the inspection is complete, I invite the customer to do a walkthrough of the house with me and discuss my findings. This presents the opportunity for many teaching moments which I find very rewarding.

For me, doing the best job I can means taking courses to improve my knowledge and going to seminars to strengthen my capabilities. As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my honesty, integrity, and hard work.

I attribute my success to my background in homebuilding. I have experienced and learned what flaws in the structure of a house look like, where they are found, and how they are caused in addition to many other things.

Apart from educating people about issues with houses, there are many other benefits to this job. Receiving appointments from repeat customer or referrals from previous customers has given me immense satisfaction over the years.

When I am not inspecting houses, I do volunteer work at my church, I participate in politics as a precinct chairman for my precinct, I am an election judge, and I am currently serving on a city board called the Building Code Board of Appeals.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
